My name is Jolene and I’ve been drawn to working with medicinal herbs for over 20 years. During that time I have been mostly self-taught through my own reading and research. It has always fascinated me that there are so many plants that grow all around us that have so many uses and are widely undervalued by most people. It became a passion of mine to try to learn more about understanding these plants that are growing all around us.

As of Fall 2019, I became a student at Green Comfort School of Herbal Medicine in Rappahannock County, VA, learning more in depth about the medicinal uses of herbs.

I am creating this reference site to help consolidate information I’ve learned and will learn from different sources. It also helps me to ingrain the information into my brain. I will be gradually adding to the Medicinal Plant profiles as I continue to learn more and as I have time to update. This site will be a continual work in progress.
